Delores, age 87, passed away on Friday at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born to Michael & Anna (Schulenberg) Adler. Delores married Joseph Fix on June 27, 1946, in Cross Plains and they were married for 27 years. One of her proudest accomplishments was joining the 1st Women's Marine Corp during World War II. Dee's passion for sports led to an outstanding bowling career including being inducted into the Madison Sports Hall of Fame, as well as, both the city of Madison and State of Wisconsin Women's Bowling Hall of Fame. Connections with her family remained central to her heart. Delores is survived by her son, Daniel (Karen) Fix. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Delores was preceded in death by her son, David A. Fix; and her siblings, Rosa, Angeline, Bernard, Franklin, Herbert, Raphael, Wilfred, and Victor. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Westport, with Monsignor James Gunn presiding. In lieu of flowers memorials be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy., Fitchburg, Wis., 53711. Gunderson West Funeral and Cremation Center assisted with arrangements.
