Funeral services for William "Blondie" Burris, 83, Borger, were at 4 p.m. today at Johnson Park Church of Christ with Mr. Stewart Gillespie, minister, officiating.

Graveside services were under the auspices of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial was by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Burris died Sunday, June 16, 1991 in St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.

A native of Hartshorn, Okla., he had been a resident of Borger since 1937. He was a member of Johnson Park Church of Christ and Adobe Walls No. 1355.

He married Reba Richmond Sept. 27, 1925 in Greenwood, Ark.

Survivors include his wife, of Borger; two sons, Donald Burris of Borger and Jimmie Burris of Gainesville; a brother, Hugh Burris of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Clara Cahoon of Houston; and Johnnie Brown of Fort Smith, Ark.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Van Reed, Otis Deffibaugh, Vernon Litterell, Bennie Duckworth, and Eddie Malone.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, Box 950, Amarillo, 79176.
