BORGER - Dan E. Bergen, 82, died Saturday, August 3, 1991.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jon Nichols, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Bergen, born in Woods County, Okla., had been a Borger resident for 51 years. He married Bernice Walker in 1932 in Alva, Okla. He was a retired chemist for the Phillips refinery. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men. He was a long time member of the Phillips Lions Club. He was active with Boy Scouts of America. He received his bachelor's degree from Northwest Teachers College and a master's degree in chemistry from Oklahoma University.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Stella Mae Hodges of San Angelo and Wilma Louise Romero of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Leonard J. Bergen of Oklahoma City and Inman W. Bergen of Alva; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mr. Bergen died Saturday, Aug. 3, 1991 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

A native of Woods County, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 51 years. He was a retired chemist at the Phillips Refinery.

He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, longtime member of Phillips Lions Club, and longtime involvement with Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. Bergen received a bachelor of science degree from Northwestern State Teachers College and a master's degree from Oklahoma University.

He married Bernice Walker Aug. 7, 1932 in Alva, Okla.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Stella Mae Hodges of San Angelo; and Wilma Louise Romero of Littleton, Colo.;' two brothers, Leonard J. Bergen of Oklahoma City; and Inman W. Bergen of Alva, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Andrew Untied Methodist Church.
