Husband of Penelope Kinnick Boner. Came to Indiana from North Carolina with wife in the Kinnick Caravan in 1850. Father to Sarah Elizabeth, Hannah Jane, Joseph Wesley, George, Mary Savanna, William, Earlie and Ivy Boner.

The following story appeared in the Franklin Democrat on Friday, December 9, 1892.
Henry Boner, age 74, died on Sunday night at his home near Whiteland. He was one of the oldest residents and was highly respected in the community. About one year ago a sore came on the great toe of his left foot since which gangrene set in baffling all medical skill in attempting to allay its progress. On Wednesday of last week Dr.Payne of this city amputated the leg below the knee, but this last resort also failed. The deceased was born in North Carolina but had been a resident of Johnson County for about 50 years. Thanks to Mark McCrady and Cathea Curry for the story.

Another story appeared in the Franklin Republic on Fri., Dec, 9, 1892. Henry Boner, an old resident of Greenwood of the Glade neighborhood died Monday at 4 a.m., aged 75. The funeral occurred Wed. morning at the Glade M.E. Church, Rev. D.A. Robertson of Greenwood, officiating. Mr. Boner came from North Carolina to this county about 40 years ago and lived here until the time of his death. He was one of the pioneers of his neighborhood and was held in the highest regard by everyone who knew him. He was also one of the pioneer members of the Glade M.E. Church.
