Funeral services for Upton B. Burroughs, 57, life-long resident of Montgomery County, who died at his home near Gaithersburg on Wednesday, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home of Ernest C. Gartner, Gaithersburg. The Rev. William J. Elliott, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, Gaithersburg, and the Rev. Richard N. Edwards, pastor of the Methodist Church at Hunting Hill, will officiate and burial will be in Rockville Union Cemetery.
Mr. Burroughs leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Trunnell Burroughs, a daughter, Mrs. Frederick Eastwood, near Rockville, and six brothers, Bertram R. Burroughs, Darnestown, Md.; Jesse P. Burroughs, Kensington, Md.; J. Theodore Burroughs, Riverdale, Md., and Guy A., Norman A. And Elmer E. Burroughs, all of Washington.
He had been active for many years in the affairs of the Hunting Hill Methodist Church and was long superintendent of the Sunday school there.

Rockville, Md., Oct 5 - Upton Baker Burroughs and Miss Mamie Trunnell, a well known young couple of this vicinity of Colesville, this county, last evening were married by Rev. Thomas H. Campbell, pastor of the Baptist church, the ceremony was performed at the home of the minister in the presence of several relatives and friends of the young couple.
