SOUTH BEND - Elizabeth L. "Betty" McIntyre, 74, of Decatur, MI, formerly of South Bend, died on Thursday, February 11, 2010. She was born in Mishawaka on October 15, 1935, to William L. and Mary (Quier) Carter. Elizabeth married Charles McIntyre on August 15, 1961, in Mishawaka. Mrs. McIntyre is survived by Charles, her husband of forty-eight years; two daughters, Leighanne Robison of South Bend, Margret "Maggie" Harradon-McIntyre of South Bend; two sons, Wayne "Rocky" Robison of MN. Scott (Cindy) McIntyre of South Bend. Also surviving are seven sisters, Iris E. Butler, Elnora L. Bryan, Zelda May (Russell) Rogers, Mary J. (Paul) Geans, Verna J. Loeffler, Jacqueline F. M. Love, Marsca J. (Dar) Suran; three brothers, George L. (Grace) Carter, Walter L. (Shirley) Carter, Clinton H. "Nick" (Vicki) Carter. Among other survivors are ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 45 five nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Leslie McIntyre; and two brothers William A. and Gene Carter. Elizabeth was a member of the German Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed classical music, traveling, dancing , bowling, and flower gardening. She was an avid Notre Dame, Colts and Bears fan. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 2-5 pm at Bubb Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday with Pastor Mark Hofstra officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, Indiana 46637 or the American Cancer Society , 601 W.
