ABELL, TERESA RACHEL, 82, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. She was a homemaker and a member of SS. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, St. Pius X Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Village. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Abell, and son, Joseph Gary Abell. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Thorpe (Patrick); five grandchildren, Stephanie R. Toll (Ryan), Patrick Marty Thorpe (Kirstie), Penny E. Abell, Joey D. Abell and Brian G. Abell; and daughter-in-law, Kathy H. Abell. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3521 Goldsmith Ln., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Rd. Expressions of sympathy mae be made to Mass of the Air, Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville or Sacred Heart Village.
