Eloisa Salazar, 94, passed away on August 27, 2021 at her Manzanola home. She was born on March 30, 1927 in McPhee, Colorado to Abelino & Virginia (Gallegos) Archuleta.

Eloisa enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and her faith was very important to her. She was the family matriarch and will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by her children, Mildred Lobato, Willie Salazar, Rachel (Bruce) Collins, Chris (Cece) Salazar, Diana (Larry) Padilla, Virginia Salazar and Tammy Salazar; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 12 great, great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jose Salazar, daughter, Linda Padilla and son, Floyd Salazar.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Soosai officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountainview Cemetery in Manzanola. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
