Viola Mae Shedd was born Viola Mae Blythe on April 1, 1913, at Russell. She was a homemaker and also had been a sales clerk for many years at the Kress Stores in Salina. She and her husband, Paul Shedd, were married June 8, 1930, in Junction City.
Mrs. Shedd died January 10, 1998, at Kenwood View Nursing Center, Salina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, in 1994 and a son, Paul, in 1995.
Survivors included a son, Perry; three daughters, Cora May Allen, Patricia Griffin and Loretta Barlow; a half brother, Harlan Lovely; 15 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
