CLINE, MR. VIRGIL LEE - age 89 of Knoxville, TN formerly of Tazewell, TN was born June 26, 1920 and passed away on February 9, 2010 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.

He was a car salesman in the East Tennessee area since the late 1940's. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. He had many friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Iona (Poore) Cline; brother, Ernest Cline and sister, Gussie Large.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruby Lambert Cline of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Patricia Griffin of Knoxville, TN; sons & daughters-in-law, Gary & Sandra Cline of Etowah, TN, Edwin & Debra Cline of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Lance & Karen Griffin, of Bowling Green, KY, Melanie Ann Griffin, of Athens, GA, Brandi and Jimmy Miller, of Eowah, TN, Jodi and Mike Cheek, of Etowah, TN, Adam and Jennifer Cline of Knoxville, TN, Dustin Cline of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren, Cayla Miller, Jackson, Reagan and Tyler Cline; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. Thursday evening at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Thursday February 11, 2010 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Minister: Rev. Micah Nicolaus officiating. Burial at 11:30 A.M. Friday February 12, 2010 at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Lyons View Pike in Knoxville, TN with Military Honors with Rev. Rebekah Fetzer officiating. Coffey Funeral Home in charge.
