Mary Mildred McCauley, 71, Woody Ave., Louisville, died Oct. 10, 1995, at her residence. Born March 27, 1924 in Marion County, she was a retired employee of Brown Williamson Tobacco Co. and a daughter of the late John Augustine and Mary Magdeline Gertrude Spalding Mattingly. Survivors include one son, James E. McCauley Jr.; three brothers, John Spalding Mattingly, John Augustine Mattingly Jr. and Bernie Mattingly; three sisters, Mae Thomas, Geraldine Cecil and Sue Thompson; one grandson, James Dylan McCauley. Funeral services were conducted at 11:30 a.m., Oct. 16, 1995, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Father Robert Huber officiated. McAfee Funeral Home, Louisville, was in charge of the arrangements.
