Dorothy E. Botsford Slifer, Topeka, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Plaza West Regional Medical Center in Topeka.
Dorothy was a homemaker.
She was born in St. Joseph, Mo., where she lived most of her life. She was a former resident of Leavenworth and had lived in Topeka since 1992.
Mrs. Slifer was a member of Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Botsford; her second husband, John A. Slifer Sr.; her parents, Richard George and Cyra Etta Armstrong Cox; a daughter, Jean Marie Hooker; a brother, Maxwell Cox; and two sisters, Barbara Allen and Ruth Taylor.
Survivors include a son, Robert D. Botsford, Topeka; four grandchildren, Lori Leggett, Becky Yancey, Sharon Botsford and Megan Ball; five great-grandchildren; a nephew and two nieces.
A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service in St. Joseph, Mo. Interment will be in Maxwell Cemetery in St. Joseph, Mo. The Family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where friends may call after noon on Sunday.
