Mrs. Daisy Toland Bland, widow of the late William Walton Bland, 86, of 4141 South Braeswood, entered into rest Thursday. Resident of Houston 67 years. Was president of the Houston Pilot Club, District Governor of Pilot International, organized clubs in London, England, and a number in the state of Texas. Past president of the Women's Society of Christian Service, St. Paul's Methodist Church, founder of the Weslayan Service Guild and active in all church work. Member of Sorrell Chapter of DAR, former member of Chapter W of P.E.O., was on Joske's consumer advisory board, being one of the 6 original members, member of the Past Presidents Club. Survivors: Daughters, Mrs. Lenore Pfeiffer, of Houston, Mrs. Allyne Mease, of Pasadena, Mrs. Wilna Reddicliffe, of Houston; son, William Walton Bland, of Baytown; sister, Mrs. Ernest Goddard, of Houston; brother, E. M. Toland, of Houston; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Services 10:30 A. M. Saturday, Chapel of the Roses, pastors Willims, Percival and Dunham officiating. To rest in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends may make donations to their favorite charity. Pat H.
