On 31 December 1891 she was married to James Chase. To this union were born twelve children, three having proceeded her in death, Clifford, James and Theo.
Mrs. Chase had been in failing health for some time.
She was of a quiet and unassuming disposition and her life was centered in her home. No task was too great and her family's welfare comes before self.
Her life was one of sacrifice. She took into her home several of her grandchildren and cared for them as her own.
For her life's book is closed and she has gone to meet an all wise God who rules over the city where there is no more death.
She leaves a husband and nine children to mourn the loss of a good wife and mother: Denver, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mala, of Colorado, Clarence od Quercus Grove, Wilfred of Milton, Kentucky, Mrs. Dora Whitham, of Rising Sun, Mrs. Clara White of Markland, Dilver, Lawrence and Arnold of Florence, Indiana.
She also leaves 44 grandchildren. 16 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Bessie Holcraft, Mrs. Sarah Munier of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Mrs. Kate Abdon, of Kentucky.
"Call not back the death departed Anchored safe where storms are over.On the border land we left them, soon to meet and part no more. When we leave this world of changes, When we leave this world of care. We shall find our missing loved one, In our Father's mansion".
The funeral services, with Rev. R.P. Malone officiating, were held at the East Enterprise Holiness church at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon and interment was made in the New Liberty Church Cemetery with Haskell and Morrison in charge.
