Lancaster, SC - July 5 - James Bailey 58, was instantly killed yesterday morning when struck by a south-bound passenger train at 9:30 o'clock near the Bear Creek trestle on the outskirts of Lancaster.
Bailey was sitting on the track, it was said, and did not attempt to heed the engineer's whistle warning. His body was severed.
