She is born as Geziena Christina Kamerman in May 1887 at the Dutch settlement Overisel, Allegan County, in the western part of Michigan, named for her mother Gesiena Christina Cramer. Her parents are called then Mannes Kamerman and Geeseman C. Kamerman

Mannes Kamerman, 31 y and day-labourer, and Geziena Christina Cramer, 22 y and maid, married on 16 April 1870 in the town of Hellendoorn in the Dutch province Overijssel, not faraway from Germany.

The couple emigrated between January 1879 and August 1881 to the Dutch settlement Overisel, Allegan County, in the western part of Michigan, USA.

On 16 April 1883 their daughter Gesiena Kamerman, born in the Netherlands, died at the age of 4 years and 4 months at Overisel.

In 1900 Zeanie Kamerman, 13 y, born in Michigan, lived with her parents Herman, 62 y, and Zeanie, 53 y, and brothers John, 18 y, and Lambert, 16 y, both born at Overisel too, at Olive Township, just north of the Dutch settlement Holland in Ottawa County, Michigan.

Sena C. Kamerman married on 2 December 1904 at Olive Township to Peter F. Kraai, who had Dutch parents too. In June 1905 and July 1909 they had there two daughters, Esther and Pearl Grace. In July 1909 Peter Kraai died of nefritis at the age of 30 years at Olive Twp, a week after his second daughter's birth.
Sena C Kamerman remarried on 22 Januari 1913 to Ralph Van Dyken, widower since June 1912 of Nellie (Pieterke) Alberda, and who had Dutch parents too.
