Born "Georg Schuhler" in the commune of Dambach-la-Ville, département of Bas-Rhin, in Alsace, France.

The family migrated from port of Le Havre on passenger steamship "La Gascogne," to arrive at Ellis Island on 13 Feb 1888.

1896 - Naturalized U.S. citizen.

Bet. 1888–1915 - Lived in Carlinville, Macoupin, Illinois.

Bet. 1889–1910 - Worked as coal miner in Carlinville.

Bet. 1910-1915 - Worked as bartender in Carlinville.

Circa 1915 - Moved to St Louis, Missouri; became bartender and co-owner of bar in Planter's Hotel on St. Louis waterfront.

Bet. 1935-1937 - Suffered Uremia (13-Feb-1937), Cardiac Failure (20-Aug-1935), Chronic Myocarditis, Chronic Parenchymetous Nephritis, Tumor in rear right upper lung.

Died 26 Feb 1937 at 4336 Arco Avenue; From lung condition developed while working in coal mines years earlier.
