Former Editor of the Moweaqua Republican which she presided for about ten years, Mrs.William Whitworth is dead.
At the hush of midnights hour,3 July 1905 at 12:07 am the spirit of Mrs. Bella A .Whitworth took the departure from the weary and worn house in which it had lived for over 58 years.
The community was not surprised at the death of Mrs. Whitworth as it has been know for quite awhile that her career was drawing to a close. 
The funeral service was conducted at the residence Wednesday and was under the care of the IOOF Logde.
Isabella A.Doyle was born in Madison county, Illinois on 4 March 1847 and died at her home in Moweaqua on 3 July 1905. Being at the time of her death, 58 years, 3 months, and 29 days old.
She was the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. E.M. Doyle. In 1866 she was married to William Whitworth of Moweaqua. No heirs came to this union. In 1894 she and her  husband began the pubication of the weekly newspaper know as the Moweaqua Republican of which she was practically the head for about ten years. She was a woman much in business and in her home. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Rebecca Lodges, both of which she remembered in a bequest. For reason all her own and know only to those of her own household she has given little attention to the social and religious life of the community. She was of ambition spirit and strong determination.
She
leaves five brothers and one sister to mourn her departure, three of whom were at the funeral.
