Jacob Kimberling, son of Adam Kimberling and Nancy Davis, was born September 27, 1777 Bath Co., VA. April 20, 1801 he married Ann W. (Stone)street, daughter of Butler (Stone)street. and Ann Williams, was born July 25, 1784. They moved to Mason Co. from Bath Co., VA. in 1803. Nancy died February 3, 1803. No issue found. November 23, 1805 in Mason Co., WV Jacob then married Margaret Booten Wornell, widow of Mathias Wornell. She was born April 13, 1783. Jacob taught school on Thirteen Mile Creek and there he raised his family. Some of his family remained in Mason Co. His son, Elijah Kimberling, was sheriff and clerk of Mason Co. after 1848. Jacob died May 4, 1855 at the age of 77 years 7 mo. 1 day and is buried in the Kimberling-Sayre Cemetery, Mason Co., (W)VA Margaret died May 26, 1853 age 73. Burial: Kimberling-Sayre Cemetery. Possible children taken from KIMBERLING FAMILY BIBLE found in VA BIBLE RECORDS Microfilm roll #2; GA-MA(2-2); Science and Cultural Center Archives Library, Charleston, (W) VA.
