WILLIAM P. CAIN

William P. Cain, 80, a lifetime resident of the town of Russell, passed away Saturday at St. Nicholas hospital. He was born August 17, 1869, at the family homestead in Russell, a son of the late Patrick and Jane Cain. He was the
youngest of 10 children, all of whom preceded him death. He attended St. Ann's Catholic school in St. Anna and the Mt. Calvary college.

In 1893 he was married to the former Miss Florence Grimes of Glenbeulah. She passed away on November 11, 1926. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic church and the Holy Name society
of that church. For 55 years he served as clerk of the Taft school in the town of Russell. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. lamina Welsgerber of Sheboygan, Mrs. Zelia Manthey, Mrs. Marcella Bodell, Mrs. Dan Slattery and Mrs.
F.K. Jenkins, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Jack Wegel of St. Anna and Mrs. Edward Hoehle at home; one son, Emmet P. Cain, at home, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Meizelwitz Funeral home, Kiel, and at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic church, St.
Anna. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state
until time of services. The members of the Holy Name society will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Monday.
