Islip – Funeral services for Herbert C. Ehmann, 67, of 1283 N. Saxon Ave., a retired New York City patrolman, will be held at 8 PM tomorrow in the Overton Funeral Home, 172 Main St. Ehmann died Thursday in his home. Born in the Bronx, Ehmann served on the force for 24 years until his retirement 15 years ago, after which he moved to Islip. He served in the navy during World War I as a chief petty officer and was a member of American Legion Post 460 in the Bronx and a Mason. Surviving are his wife, Rosalie; a daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Miller of Islip, and a sister, Mrs. Loretta Stone of Syracuse. Burial will be at noon Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
