Lennie Leota Knapp Sellman was born October 16, 1878 at Lake City, Iowa, the daughter of Ira Knapp and Nancy Ann Tilbury Knapp.
She was married to Arthur Alexander Sellman on January 30, 1896 in Brocksburg, Nebraska.
She and Arthur had six children: Troy, Arthur, Jesse, Chancey, Dorothy and Leota.
They moved to Keota, Iowa in April, 1914. There she was a member of the Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Lennie suffered a stroke on November 4, 1956 and was bedfast until her death, July 3, 1957 at the Twilight Rest Home in Keota, Iowa.
