Sperry Van Tassell, age 54 years, son of the late William and Julia Ingraham Van Tassell, died at his home on Scott street, Thursday, January 7, after an illness of three weeks with pneumonia.
He was born in the town of Preston October 23, 1882.
Mr. Van Tassell was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Adams of Oxford, who is the only survivor.
The funeral was held from the home Saturday, January 9, at 2 o'clock, Rev. F. L. Anderson, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery, Norwich. Funeral arrangements were in charge of F. W. Seymour & Son.
