AGED WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Jane Mattingly, 82 years old, wife of Elias Mattingly, a veteran of the Civil War, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Miles, in the western part of the county, Monday afternoon about 3 o'clock. Death was due to infirmities incident to age. She had been in declining health for some time. Before her marriage to Mr. Mattingly, which took place many years ago, she was Miss Jane Fenwick. She had spent practically all of her long life in the section where she died. She was a good Christian woman and was a devout member of the Catholic church. Surviving her besides her husband are three daughters and four sons, as follows: Mrs. Georgia Ann Mattingly of this city, Mrs. Janie Wade of Taylor county and Mrs. Annabelle Miles and Lloyd, D. F., Charles and Monroe Mattingly, all of this county. One brother, Nace Fenwick, of Louisville, also survives. Funeral services were held at St. Francis Xavier church at Raywick by Rev. Geo. Frederick Wednesday morning and burial was in the church cemetery.
