The sad funeral services of Mrs. Mary Upham Bingham, wife of Principal Bingham, were held at the home on Friday afternoon. There was a very large attendance of neighbors, relatives and friends.

The floral contributions were beautiful, bearing loving testimony from many friends. Noticeable were set pieces from each of the classes of Pinkerton academy, where Mrs. Bingham was, for many years, librarian.

The services were conducted by the Rev. J. H. Nichols of the Baptist church. The invocation was by the Rev. Halah H. Loud, of Abington, Mass. Singing was by a quartet composed of Mrs. C.A. Sefton, Mrs. W.H. Haskins, Harry Gilcreast and C.A. Sefton. They rendered the selection "Sun of my Soul" and "Still, Still With Thee". Miss Upham of Boston, a friend of the family also rendered a solo, "Only a Little While". An original poem was read and brief remarks were made by the Rev. R.W. Haskins of Reading, Mass. Mr. Nichols spoke most appropriately of the life and work of the deceased and of the affectionate place she had held in the hearts of all. The closing prayer was by the Rev. S.F. French.

The bearers were Prof. C.S. Campbell, Mr. John Anderson, Mr. John C. Chase, and Dr. Sanders. The body was placed in the receiving tomb in Forest Hill cemetery at East Derry by Undertaker Martin, where the committal service was performed by Rev. Mr. Nichols.
