"Funeral services for Sophia Harbin, 73, of Petersburg were held Monday at 2 pm in Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Head officiating. Burial was in Walnut Hills Cemetery."
"Mrs Harbin died Friday, June 13, in St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, of arterial scleriasis thrombosis. She had been in St. Mary's three weeks and in Good Samaritan Hospital two weeks prior. She had been in relatively good health until three weeks ago."
"Sophia Harbin was born May 5, 1896 in Petersburg, a daughter of John and "Offie" (Alexander) Kime. She was married to James Harbin who died about 41 years ago. She was a member of the Gospel Center Church in Petersburg and of the American War Mothers."
"She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Eugene (Pat) Thomas of Petersburg; a son, Wendell Harbin of Villa Grave, Illinois; six grandchildren; seven great grandchidren; a twin sister, Mrs Josie Adkerson of Petersburg and a brother, Walter Kime of California.
