LEBANON ENTERPRISE OBITUARY - 05/06/1910
DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS
In the death of Mr. C. H. Mattingly which occurred at his home, near Dant, Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock, after a protracted illness, that community and the county have lost one of its most sterling citizens. Funeral services were conducted at St. Francis Church, Chicago, yesterday morning by Father Werner in the presence of a large congregation of sorrowing friends. The deceased was 62 years old and a man of the strictest integrity. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and one son. His daughters are Mrs. Florence Nally, of Bardstown; Mrs. Bridget Moore, of Dant, and Miss Genevieve Mattingly. His only son is Thomas W. Mattingly, the merchant, at Chicago. He is also survived by one brother, Ned Mattingly, of Chicago, and by two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Boone and Mrs. Sallie Wilmott, both of Louisville. In their loss his family have the sympathy of a long list of friends.
