MRS. LILLIE VATH TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Lillie Vath, 82, widow of Konrad Vath and a resident of this city for 26 years, died Friday night at a convalescent home following week's illness.
Mrs. Vath, nee Lillie Smith, was born July 19, 1861, at Metamora, Ill., where she married Konrad Vath, Feb. 5, 1884. None sons and a daughter were born of their marriage.
Surviving are the nine sons, Harry and Ralph Vath of this city, Clarence in Oregon, Edward at Shelton, Verne in California, Roy at North Platte, Louis and Adam at Ogallala and Alva at Hastings. Her husband died Oct. 19, 1911, and a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Curtis, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in the Geddes funeral home. The Rev. D. F. Kohl, pastor of the First Christian church, conducted the rites with interment in the cemetery at Shelton.
