She was the daughter of Horace Raymond "Buster" and Ingles (Pusley) Coker. She married W.E. Buckner on Sept. 7, 1952, in Holdenville. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1098 Ladies Auxiliary in McAlester and a member of the White Shrine in Muskogee. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She passed away at McAlester Regional Health Center at the age of 93. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Buckner, Big Spring, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Darla and Rick Mach, of Edmond, Terry and Valerie Hancock, of Oklahoma City, Jerry and Susan Hancock, of Edmond, David Buckner Jr., McCamey, Texas, Renee Townsend, Abingdon, Va., and Ricky Sides , Big Spring, Texas. Also, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren, and special friend, Keith Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.E. Buckner, and son, Wayne F. Hancock. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Pastor Lisa Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Gerty Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
