Oldest son of James W. Jackson Moore (1824-1869) and Mary Jane Herbert Moore (1826-1910). Co. B, 2nd Maryland Infantry, CSA. Killed in action at Culp's Hill, Gettysburg, Pa.

"Warren Moore. In Remembrance. He fell in defense of southern rights during the Civil War. Brother of Herbert F. Moore; proprietor of Moore's Hotel. His remains were brought home and interred in Medley's Neck graveyard. (The Enterprise, 12/16/1893).
