MRS. MARY A. GOODRICH, a former resident of Marengo, and an early settler in Seneca, died at Perris, Cal., Sunday, July 9, 1911. The remains were brought to Marengo Friday, July 14, where the funeral services were conducted by Rev, T. S. Scott. Mrs. Goodrich was nearly ninety-three years old.

Mrs. A. Cohoon received a message from Perris, Cal., Sunday announcing the death of her mother, Mrs. Mary A. Goodrich, at the home of Mrs. W. W. Stewart. The remains are to be brought to this city and burled by the side of her late husband, George W. Goodrich. It is expected that the body will arrive in this city today, Friday. The funeral will be held at the home of C. L. Lundgren this afternoon at four o'clock.

The tombstone inscription of "Hebrews 4:8" in the Bible says "For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day." Verse 9 continues "There remains therefore a rest for the people of God."
