Mrs. Baker died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Olathe Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Whittier, Calif., the daughter of Russell J. and Azalea Stockton Barton. She attended schools in Whittier, and later attended UCLA.
Mrs. Baker was a secretary for the Oskaloosa school district. She later worked as a cashier for Dillons for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Mount Oread Aerie 309 in Lawrence and the Sweet Adelines.
She married Carl L. Baker. He died April 5, 1991.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Wilkerson and husband Wally, Olathe; a son, Charles R. Baker, Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Russell, Nicole and Heather Baker, Christina and David O'Trimble and Wesley, Curtus, Angela and Lisa Wilkerson; and seven great-grandchildren, Malia, Brianna and Tiara Baker, Russell Baker Jr., Allison and Mason O'Trimble and Bailey Evans.
