Ruth W. Bachkora, 91, a former Litchfield resident, died Sunday Oct. 14 at the Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna.

Graveside services were Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna. Rev. Ralph Erts officiated. Visitation was Tuesday at Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna.

Mrs. Bachkora was born Jan. 17, 1899, in Custer County to Nels and Maude Rinarson Arp. She received her education in Custer County rural schools and Kearney Normal School As a young woman she worked as a store clerk in Ravenna.

On Sept. 1, 1921, she married Amil Bachkora. The couple lived on a farm in the St. Michael's area until 1961 when she moved to Litchfield. Mr. Bachkora died Feb. 3, 1961.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Litchfield.

Survivors include one son, Dean of Laredo, Texas; two daughters, Phyllis Olson of Kirksville, Mo. and Arlene Trew of Grand Island; two brothers, Roger Arp of Houston, Minn. and Alvin Arp of California; three sisters, Helen Tafel and Harriet Petteys, both of California and Pauline Harms of Nebraska City; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, two grandchildren and one great grandson.
