Tanz Bills, age 82, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Born in Williamsport, Tennessee to Lou and Lizzie Lou Jones Tucker. She has resided in Joliet for 50 years.
Tanz retired as a teacher with District 86.
She was a member of the American Federation of Teachers and the Retired Teacher's Association; ember of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and with many other organizations within the church.
Preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Domont F. Bills, Jr.; one daughter, Patricia Woodard of Harvey; three sons, Ronald (Carolyn) Bills, William Bills and Domont (Michelle) Bills, all of Joliet. 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and cousins also survive.
Memorial Services will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church. Rev. Lishers Mahone, officiating. RANGE FUNERAL HOME
