Abraham B. Webb was born in Cosby, Cocke County, TN on July 10, 1857. Abraham B. Webb first went to Texas at the age of 24 in 1881, and lived for two years in the Round Rock, Williamson County, TX area. Returning to Tennessee in 1883/1884, He was dating both Anna Baxter and Nancy Valentine. In 1884, he got Anna Baxter pregnant and she had a baby boy (she named him Isaac Luther Webb; born 30 May 1885) Abraham then got Nancy Valentine Pregnant and she had a baby boy (she named him Charlie Anderson Webb; born March 23, 1887) Abe then married Nancy Valentine on August 29, 1887. The couple moved to Texas in 1892 and settled near West, McLennan County, Texas.
A farmer throughout his lifetime, A. B. and Nancy had a host of friends and acquaintances in this section of the state. They raised a large family, consisting of six boys and four girls. All of the children were born in Texas, except the three oldest, Charles, Clay and Hattie: they were born in Tennessee. A. B. Webb was a member of West Lodge, A. F. & A.M. and of West Lodge No, 306 I.O.O.F.
