August Klump married Emma Josephine Wilt, daughter of Oswald and Josephine Wilt, on 01 May 1900 at St Mary's Seminary Church in Perryville, Missouri. She died at the age of twenty on 13 Jan 1902. Five years later, August Klump married Martha Eveline Thorpe, April 16, 1907 at the same church. Martha was the daughter of Margaret Catherine (Manning) and Joel Thorpe.
