Dana W. Daniels, 75, of Marienville, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Altoona Regional Hospital following a single vehicle accident January 23, 2010.

Born in Clarion County on November 8, 1934, he was a son of Ralph and Elva (Slaugenhaupt) Daniels.

On October 4, 1956, he married Rose L. Wagener. She died August 22, 2008.

Mr. Daniels was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was a mold maker, first employed at Knox Glass and then Glass Containers in Marienvile and Reno.

Mr. Daniels was a member of the Marienville VFW, enjoyed playing blackjack, watching Penn state and Steeler teams play football, ran marathons and achieved a perfect (300) game bowling. He was an avid reader, enjoyed history, traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include a daughter, Dana Dwyer of Mars; three grandchildren, Mrs. Scott (Christa) Part of Brookville, Matthew Dwyer of Pittsburgh, and Caitlyn Dwyer of Mars; and two great-grandchildren, Dalynn and Elliot Park.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and a nephew.

Funeral services were held Jan. 29, 2010 at Sligo Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Sheesley, pastor at Zion United Methodist Church, officiating.
