He was born July 28, 1919 to Pearl and Clara(Umbwhour)King in Bussey, Iowa. Orville was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville. He married Eulan I. White in Lancaster, Missouri on February 22, 1941.
Surviving him is two daughters; Elizabeth Roberts of Ashland, Missouri, Orvella Shipman and her husband Mike of Monroe, Iowa, two sisters; Clara Atwell of Chariton, Iowa and Ethel Fenton of Centerville, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eulan, parents Pearl and Clara, son Pearle, 6 brothers; Virgil, Ernie, Cliffton, Kenneth, Floyd and Woodrow"Boots"King, and 2 sisters; Florence Martin and Vera Printy.
Visitation will be all day Thursday with the family present from 6-8pm at Thomas Lange Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:30am Friday August 20, at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Conrad Thompson officiating. A memorial has been established to Hospice of Central Iowa, Centerville Office or First Baptist Church in Centerville, which may be left at the funeral home.
