Ness City -- Agatha M. Pfannenstiel, 87, died April 7 at Ness City Long Term Care Center in Ness City. Born Agatha M. Stoecklein Feb. 27, 1900 in Munjor, she had been a resident of Ness County since 1914.


She married Alex E. Pfannenstiel Feb. 10, 1920 in Ness City. He died July 20, 1969.


Mrs. Pfannenstiel was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Christians Mothers, both of Ness City.


Survivors include four sons, Alvin of Richmond, Mo., Richard and Hubert, both of Ness City, and Marvin of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Agnes Pfannenstiel of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Seraphine Meis of Ness City, Rosa Werth of Schoenchen and Ludwina Boos of Topeka; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.


Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. John Strasser officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ness City. Friends may call tonight, all day Thursday and until service time Friday at the funeral home.
