Born in Norfolk, Va., he attended West High School in Bremerton. He married the former Barbara J. Hersey in Bremerton.
He served in the Navy Seabees, achieving the rank of engineering aide third class. He then worked as a structural architect at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years.
He was a baseball fan and enjoyed music and playing his trombone. He played in the University of Washington Huskies marching band in college.
Survivors include his wife, and a daughter, Amanda Lee.
Lewis Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements, with inurnment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Ave., Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
