Funeral for Clarence John Neely, 71, Route 1, Athens, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Northside Church of Christ with Bro. Burl Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with McConnell Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Neely died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mattie J. Neely; six daughters, Miss Agnes Neely, Cocoa, Fla., Mrs. Edna Putman, Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Thelma Delmore, Huntsville, Mrs. Maxine Rice, Vista, Calif., Mrs. Catherine Hooie, Athens and Mrs. Joyce Riviere, Huntsville; a son, Clarence Neely Jr. of Nashville; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earnest Neely and Jesse Neely, both of Athens.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
