William Lee Banister , age 57, of Highland, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 16, 2004 at home.
William was a manager for many projects in Lake County and most recently was an engineer for Independence Hill Conservancy District. William was also an accomplished artist and enjoyed flying planes solo.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Kathy; daughters Kassie (Tony) Dargo of Indianapolis, Indiana and Kara Banister of Highland, Indiana; loving parents, William I and Ruth E. Banister of Knox, Indiana; brother, Alan (Lynda) Banister of Crown Point; sister Cyndi (Jim) Wilson of Frisco, Colorado; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Frank D. Banister and nephew Joshua Banister.
Funeral services: Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9009 Kennedy Avenue, Highland, Indiana with Pastor Burkeman officiating.
Burial: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
Arrangements entrusted to the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 924 West 45th Avenue, Griffith, Indiana.
