Canada Census, 1901: Samuel Cook, born 5 Dec 1852, age 48, occupation: Farmer, his wife, Sarrah, born 17 April 1856, age 44. They have a son, Silas, born 12 April 1890, age 1. All born in N.S. They were living in the Sub-District of Rawdon, in the District of Hants, in Nova Scotia on 15 April 1901.


Obviously, the date of Silas's birth is wrong.


Silas's grandmother, Mary Ann Cook (maiden name Bond), married Hugh Moore in 1903.


Canada Census, 1911: Hugh Moore, born March 1852, age 58, occupation: Gold ? - Gold Mine, his wife, Mary A., born Feb. 1834, age 77, and a grandson, Silas Cook, born March 1901, age 10. All born in N.S. They were living at 30 James Street in the City of Halifax, in Halifax County, Nova Scotia in 1911.


Canada Census, 1931: Silas Cook, age 31 (born about 1900), born in N.S., occupation: Farm Labourer. He was living as a lodger in the household of Truman Graham. They were living in Magundy, in the Sub-District of Prince William (Parish), in the District of York-Sunbury, in New Brunswick on 10 June 1931.
