Adelena Ippoliti Cardone Age 87 of Wilmington, died Tuesday, February 8, 2000.

Mrs. Cardone was a tailor in the men's clothing industry. She retired in 1975 after 42 years. She enjoyed needlepoint and spending time with her family.

Her husband, James G. Cardone, died in 1951. Her grandson, Alan Mancini, died in 1981. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Joseph Mancini of Wilmington; her grandson, Joseph Mancini, Jr. and his wife Rita of Boothwyn, PA; her granddaughter, Gina Mancini-Becker and her husband Richard of Pike Creek; brothers, Nicholas and Joseph Ippoliti, both of Philadelphia; her sister, Rita Cardano of Huntington Valley, PA; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd. on Saturday, February 12 at 12 noon. Friends may call at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek on Friday evening from 7-9 and Saturday morning from 10:30-11:30. Interment: All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Oblate Retirement Fund, PO Box 1452, Wilmington, DE 19899.
