On April 16, 1835, she was united in marriage with William Cox, in Portage county, Ohio. They remained there until in 1851, then moved to DeKalb county, Ind., where she has resided ever since.
Nearly six years ago her companion was taken to the spirit world. Mother Cox united with the Christian church in early years, and sustained her relationship therewith until her death.
She was the mother of ten children; seven survive her, four boys and three girls. Two girls and one boy are dead, the son died in the service of his country in 1863. She was the grandmother of forty children and great grandmother to eight children.
The deceased was a kind and loving mother, and was loved by all who knew her.
Her funeral was held on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1889, at the Christian church at Cedar Lake, and interred in the Cedar Lake cemetery, W. F. Ackman officiating.
