Rome - Mrs. Flora M. Wheeler, 77, died Mar 10, 1940 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Thomas, 511 Elm St., after three weeks illness.
She was born in West Branch, daughter of the late Simeon T. and Harriet Brown Wyman. She was married 59 years ago to Charles Bergman who died four years later. She was married Oct 20, 1896 to A. Douglas Wheeler in Rome. He died 17 years ago.
Mrs. Wheeler had lived in Rome 44 years. She was a member of the Friends Church, West Branch, its Ladies Aid Society, and of Rome Women's Benefit Association.
A daughter of her first marriage, Mrs. Hattie Bergman Wiek ?, also leaving the daughter with whom she lived, a son, Charles Wheeler, Rockaway, NJ, a sister, Lillian Franklin, Rome, a brother, M. Samuel Wyman, Rome, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted in her daughter's home Wednesday with interment in Rome Cemetery.
