SUCCUMBS TO WHITE PLAGUE
Robert Ware, aged 33 died at 6 p.m. yesterday at his home at 316 Mulberry Avenue, tuberculosis being the cause of death. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the residence by Rev. W. F. Yarborough, with interment at Edgemont Cemetery.
Mr. Ware succumbed to the white plague after a long illness. He is survived by his wife and two small children. He was formerly employed at the car works, but for some years has been unable to work. The plight of this bereaved family is said to be a sad one, the lingering illness of the breadwinner having greatly depleted their resources.

Robert Ware was born in Campbell County, GA to the parents of William J. Ware (Athens, Clarke, Georgia) and Hester Ann Miller. Along with his mother and siblings he moved to Anniston, Alabama in 1898. There he worked at Western Steel Car and Foundry along with Anniston Cordage. He married Susie Powell in 1903 and they had two children, Bessie and James Richard Ware. Robert died in 1911 from tuberculosis. His children moved to Lindale, Georgia where they married and lived the rest of thier lives.
