Barbara worked along side her husband all of their lives, at the Ice Arena they owned in Yakima, and then at Mann Bros, Box Factory in Thorp until she was 93 years old and the business was sold. She was a gormet cook, and avid gardener. She was active in her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities. She raised two sons.
