Smithson Maurice Davis, 82, 111 W. 60th St., died at Community Hospital Thursday after an extended illness. He had retired from Guide Division 17 years ago and was also a retired farmer. His affiliations included being a lifetime member of the Ovid Masonic Lodge 164, as well as membership to the Whetstone United Church of Christ and the Whetstone Brotherhood and Sisterhood.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Janet) Rager, Pendleton; two sons, Keith of Frankton, and Ronald of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Bright Funeral Home in Pendleton with the Rev. Verlin Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pee Wee Cemetery near Ovid. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic memorial services will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 7 p.m.
