Mrs. Mary Irene Sahlender, nee Kennedy, widow of the late G.A. Sahlender, local businessman, died at her home, 126a West Main street, at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, aged 65.
She was born in Belair, Belmont county, Ohio, May 22, 1857, and came to Illinois when seven years old. On August 25, 1878, she was married to G.A. Sahlender, who died in September 1916.
Surviving are the following children: George W., Franklin E., Frerick G. Sahlender, Misses Freda M. and Nora L. Sahlender; Clara, wife of Attorney P.C. Otwell, and Ida, wife of Prof. F. William Keiner; also one sister, Mrs. W. J. Finn, of Joplin, Mo.
The funeral will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday from the home to Walnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. E. W. McClusky will oficiate.
